EMBER

Ember interface concept: a red rack with Input, Warm, Neutral, Air, five Character choices and Output
Interface concept. Audio processing and control ranges are still in development.
DYNAMIC SATURATION / CONCEPT IN DEVELOPMENT

A little more character.

A saturation concept built around a direct, four-part signal path: input, tone, character and output. A red rack with room for a deliberate decision.

A CLOSER LOOK
01

Input. The starting point.

The proposed input control sits before tone and character. It establishes where the signal enters the processing path, keeping that decision separate from the final listening level.

02

Warm. Neutral. Air.

Three tone controls occupy the center of the concept. Their names describe the current visual direction; their ranges and audible response will be documented with a testable version.

03

Five characters to explore.

Clean, Weight, Punch, Dense and Bloom form the Character row. They are proposed starting points for exploring saturation. Their sonic differences have not yet been demonstrated by a working release.

04

Output. Bring it back into context.

The proposed output control completes the rack. Its role is to set the final level after the character decision, supporting a useful comparison with the original signal.

THE WORKFLOW

The intended workflow.

  1. Set the input into the processing path.
  2. Explore the tone controls and choose a character.
  3. Adjust the output and compare the result in the mix.
IN DEVELOPMENT

Where it stands.

Ember is an interface and product concept. No working audio release, public installer, final specification or release date is available through this site.
